This inaugural list recognizes the leading tech firms in the Southeast region, chosen by nominations from venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and economic development executives. The ME Awards, hosted by Mobile Entertainment magazine, recognize outstanding achievement in content development and publishing, technical services and hardware, and operator services. The awards were voted upon by a judging panel comprising over 300 mobile content executives. Competition in the category included End2End, Opera Telecom, Echovox, Amdocs Qpass and Mobilitec.
